After a successful career as an executive accountant in the hospitality industry, Rob Pickett has turned to his passion: teaching.
In the business world, Mr. Pickett taught such subjects as Leadership, Communication, Time Management, Coaching, Employee Discipline, and Interpreting Financial Reports. As a life-long martial artist, he has taught various armed and unarmed arts to students of all ages, for thirty years. He also teaches country western dance.
Mr. Pickett is the Fifth Grade Homeroom teacher at Christ the King, and also works closely with 6th – 8th Grade math students. His years of business experience translate into clear communication with students and high expectations.
Mr. Pickett has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver. He has his Catechist Certification through the Diocese of Phoenix and a Certificate in Youth Ministry from Franciscan University/LifeTeen.
He spends his free time practicing martial arts. In addition, he coaches and trains as a competitive dancer on the UCWDC circuit (which includes Ballroom, Country Western and Swing dances.)
