“We must aim to send our pupils out ‘in the service of love’, emboldened with the Gospel of Joy, to change the world.”- Pope Francis 2013
We are a community committed to upholding the 50+ years of excellence in Catholic education at Christ the King Catholic School. With the caring support and enthusiastic involvement of our community, we are able to bridge the difference between tuition and the cost of educating a child. The financial generosity of parents, parishioners, grandparents, alumni, and friends enables Christ the King School to flourish, sustain and grow our tradition of excellence. A variety of ways are available to someone who wants to ensure that the students of Christ the King have the tools they need.

Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is an effective way to provide for unrestricted operating funds for the day to day operation of the school. While tuition does the same, tuition doesn’t cover it all! A gift to the Annual Fund goes directly to programs for the students, providing vital support for current needs, including core activities, curriculum and curriculum enrichment, extracurricular programs, or current technology with the benefit of a tax deduction for donors. Please donate using this LINK, or contact the school to make your gift to the Annual Fund. If you would like to learn more please call the school.
SONrise Society Breakfast Plan to join together with friends, alumni, parents, past parents and parishioners for our Annual Community Breakfast in honor of the largest ministry of this parish. We will gather together for a simple meal, a chance to hear about accomplishments from these past years, and our vision for the future. Every school day for over 50 years, approximately 245 students are on our campus, learning and growing spiritually, academically and emotionally. Students graduate here and continue successfully at high schools, college and into their lives full of faith. It is a blessing to the families of the East Valley to be able to attend Christ the King Catholic School and these families appreciate your efforts as a parish community. While this is a fundraiser for operating funds for the school, there is no minimum for this free event. This event is held in early Fall Annually, once the date is set, you will be able to RSVP from the front page of the school website – www.ctk-catholicschool.org or call the school office 480-844-4480. You may donate to the SONrise Society directly through this LINK.

In 2015, the In Memory of Mary Ellen Thayer Scholarship was established as a way to honor an incredible woman and longtime teacher, friend, mother, sister and daughter. She filled the hearts of tens of thousands of people at Christ the King School and Parish in Mesa, St. Gregory in Phoenix, and her home towns of Cleveland and Hinckley, Ohio. She left us to be with her Lord on February 14, 2015.
Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and Glorify your Father which is in Heaven”
Mary Ellen did just this – she constantly liberated others with her light. Her uncompromising dedication to the caretaking of others was seen in her profession, her parenting and in her constant love of all those with whom she came in contact.
Mary Ellen will hold a permanent place in our hearts and lives. Her perpetual endowment, seeded with $11,800 raised at the Cheers to 50 years Dinner and Auction, is on deposit with the Catholic Community Foundation. The Scholarship allows Mary Ellen to continue to give to families at Christ the King.
The Mary Ellen Thayer Endowment Fund provides a scholarship each year for a student who attends Christ the King School. As part of its mission to provide an affordable Catholic education, the school operates with support from the Catholic Education Association and statewide scholarship tuition assistance organizations (STO’s) to support parents in educating each child. These organizations along with Annual Giving, the Annual School Fundraiser and the Endowment Fund, work to seamlessly ensure every family that has the desire for Catholic education can achieve that dream.

Scrip Program
Christ the King Catholic School sponsors a Scrip Program which allows you to purchase gift cards for your everyday purchases of gas, groceries, restaurants, movies, etc. instead of using credit cards, check, or cash. The gift cards are the same gift cards you buy at the stores and restaurants themselves, but when you purchase the gift cards through the CTK Scrip Program, CTK earns rebates from these stores and restaurants. These rebates can be designated by you as a charitable contribution to the school. Scrip gift cards are available at the School office, before or after school, and after most Masses on Sunday! shop with us before you shop!

In 2018, CEA provided $200,000 in scholarships to the students at Christ the King Catholic School. When you redirect your tax dollars to Catholic Education Arizona, through a simple tax credit that costs you nothing ($0), your thoughtful act pays dividends now and into the future. Read more, watch a video on the benefit to our society, community and church and learn exactly how it works HERE or attend one of our monthly Scholarship Workshops.
